The film traces the life of General William H. L. Wallace, from his humble Illinois upbringing to his rise as one of the Civil War’s most respected commanders. Through personal letters, battlefield accounts, and the quiet strength of his wife, Ann, the documentary highlights the cost of leadership and the weight of duty. Viewers follow Wallace from his early years in Deer Park to the Battle of Shiloh, where his courageous leadership helped hold the Union line before he was mortally wounded.
